Author Bio:
Ana Nogales is among the most
recognized and highly respected Latinas in the USA today. A
Ph.D. in psychology who also is a famed newspaper writer, radio
and TV personality, Dr. Nogales has dedicated her career to
helping the Latino community in the USA through her advice on
family, marriage, intimacy and on the uniqueness of being bicultural
in this country. Born and raised in Argentina, she brings her
special perspectives to the lives of Latinos in these United
States. In her most recent book written with Laura Golden Bellotti,
Latina Power!, Dr. Nogales focuses her attention on the
mujeres of the community telling the story of the Latina cultural
identity and the positive and negative stereotypes she confronts
in a society where the past denotes a culture much different
than the one she lives in today. Ana Nogales writes a weekly
column, "Aqui Entre Nos", for La Opinión,
and has been featured in Glamour, Cosmopolitan,
the Los Angeles Times, and on NBCNews and CNN
en Español. She is a clinical psychologist and founder
of Nogales Psychological Counseling, Inc., and she lives in
Orange County, California.
