WHAT:
How to Get Published Despite the Economy
Getting published is never easy, but the current economic climate offers additional challenges--and opportunities. In this workshop, you will learn: why debut writers are more valuable than published authors; what agents and editors are looking for more than ever; and the one trait that will ensure publication (hint: it's not about the writing!).
Workshop attendees have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with an editor who will critique a ten-page sample of their writing. This individual consultation requires an extra fee but you can attend the workshop without participating in the consultations though consultations are ONLY open to workshop participants.
$50 for workshop, $30 for a one-on-one twenty-minute consultation with the editor. Writers must submit the first ten double-spaced pages of their manuscripts. Please include name, e-mail address, phone number and mailing address on the first page. No poetry or children's books will be accepted. Space is limited so register early!
